Child development is very important to us at Heol Chwarae Rol - Role Play Lane, especially doing activities through play (obviously!) and also through music.

Many of our sessions are led by professional musicians, which gives that extra ‘ahh, ahh, ahh, ahh, ahh’ (please say you sang that with me!) to your sessions.

We also combine sensory items or role play as part of your session, so the benefits to young children are vast.

Five main benefits of music for babies and young children are:

1. Cognitive Development:

   • Music enhances brain development in young children by stimulating the areas responsible for memory, spatial reasoning, and language. Studies have shown that musical training can increase IQ and improve academic performance.
